Making Apples with Measuring

This week we are learning all about measuring using uniform and informal units. There is only so much measuring of objects around our classroom & school that I can handle but luckily I found this cute idea from Apples, Crayons & Caffeine. So we have been making apples!

We measured each strip using unifix instead of rulers.

My kiddos were really into it! And they are completely cute and cheery in my room. post signature

Halloween Flash Freebie & a Sale

Gosh, I'm posting two days in a row and actually found time today to make a new product for my store. Neither of those things have happened in months! Hopefully this is a good sign of things to come :)

Has anyone else also spent a far chunk of today going through their wishlist on TpT? The sale is amazing & so is the celebration of TpT reaching 100, 000 followers on Fb.

I haven't put my store on sale as well because I have been busy finishing my Happy Halloween Bookmarks to put in my store.

I will put this up as a Flash Freebie for the next 10 minutes or so. If you do download please leave me some comment love.

Wishing you a great week,

A Spring 5 for Friday

Oh Spring how I love you! It is an absolutely gorgeous Saturday morning as I write this. One of those days that's makes me feel truly blessed to be who I am, where I am and to have so many wonderful people in my life that I couldn't do without.

~One~
Welcome back to Term 4! I know this is super bad of me but I started my end of year count down this week as well {10 weeks}. The majority of my poppets are settled and flourishing. Yay!

~Two~
Our Gymnastics program started on Friday. The kiddos love it! And I love that it's one less sports lesson I have to plan for the next 5 weeks.

~Three~
We went weeding up at our school Block this week with Mr K. My kidlets sure have some muscles because they did a super job. They love feeding the weeds to our school chickens.

~Four~
We have been planting up a storm the last week at home. My hubby brought home some pallet boxes which we going to use to plant some more citrus trees {a lime and a mandarin tree}. We painted them last night while having a sneaky cider which made working on a Friday night ok!

~Five~
After my yoga class this morning I wandered around our town's Farmers market. I am looking forward to eating those strawberries! Plus, there is nothing better than having flowers in the house- I don't normally like Native's, I'm more a daffodils, daisies and tulips kind of girl but they looked really pretty.

Jet lag & Currently

I was going to miss my first currently since I started blogging due to being a space cadet but I have instead decide to join in, just 4 days late and writing while jet lagged and with a brain that feels like it is in cotton wool. Could be an interesting read!

Listening, Loving & Thinking-
So if you have missed me lately or are visiting for the first time, I have been away for 3 weeks (arrived back Friday at the lovely time of 5.30am) on a Study Tour of the UK with a little 1 week side trip to Paris at the end. Yeah, it was really tough but someone had to do it :)

I will blog properly this week and fill you all in on what we did. It was amazing and I am so glad I was accepted for the trip.

So, this means I am suffering the wonderful jet lag caused from two flights to get home (22 hours in the air). Work will be fun tomorrow! But I am so glad to be home. I missed by husband, our cat, our house and my wardrobe. Having 12 items of clothing for 3 weeks sucked.

Wanting & needing-
I really need to plan my week but I also feel like I need a Nana nap. At this stage I think the nap may win.

Treat-
I wish I had a teaching freebie organised but I am simply not that organised... Forgive me for the over use of organised, organised... I'm tired. So instead, the first person to guess the treat I bought myself in Paris will win a freebie of their choice from my store. Just comment below!

And I also found these  today from Confessions of a Cupcake Queen

Don't they look amazing?!

Wishing you all a great October. For any Australian teachers who are starting back this week for the final term GOOD LUCK and... 11 weeks to go :)

Five for Friday {London part 2}

Wowsers what a week!

I'm linking up with Doodle Bugs to share some more of the amazing happenings I have been having this week on the other side of the world.

1. Week 1 of my schools study tour of the UK is almost over. I am feeling so blessed to be here but am also appreciating all of the hard work (mentally & physically) that we are all putting into this trip. The schools are amazing (for all different reasons) but it is leaving all of us with a ton to think about, act upon and find out more about.
This is a picture from Jesmond Gardens Primary. More pictures and details to show you later in the week but their play spaces are amazing.

Last weekend was spent in London {read more about it here} so I am going to finish my 5 things with:

2. Walking around, Hyde park & St. James Gardens.

3. I am a huge Nottinghill fan, I was so excited that I finally got to visit Portbello Rd markets & get my pic taken at 'the' blue door.

4. Convenant Garden Markets- love, love, love!

5. Dinner at Union Jacks (a Jamie Oliver restaurant)-OMG! Absolutely delicious food. Amazing place too, right in the middle of Covenant Gardens and completely laid back and funky.

And there was a busker outside the restaurant. Good company, food and tunes made for an amazing night.

London Baby! part one

I am feeling very, very lucky to be part of this amazing study tour {regardless of missing out today, being stuck at the hotel in bed with a nasty cold.. but it's giving me a chance to blog so there's always a bright side}. We are almost through our first week in England and will be heading to Scotland in a few days.

We arrived in London on Friday and had some free time to check out London town. Because I have been here before I was able to catch up with one of my wonderful friends and just chill out enjoying the city rather than being in a mad rush to do everything.

A recap of London:

Friday
Regent's Park

 Camden Lock Markets

With a stop at Chin Chin Labs for some Peanut Butter & Grape Jelly Sandwich Nitrogen ice cream with caramel sauce. Seriously cool & disgustingly delicious!

Saturday
King's Cross station to visit Platform 9 and three-quarters. If you have never been it is free and the best fun ever!

Royal Palace Staterooms Tour- you are not allowed to take pics inside but it is amazing! I am so glad I went, it's a lot bigger than it looks from the front and the grounds are huge.

If you are an art geek like me, the collection that was on view was worth the visit. It had a large collection of dutch masters including Rembrandt.

And a few other places but I will save that for later because this is turning into an essay!

I will hopefully have some time during the week to write about the amazing schools we have been to so far. The learning spaces are incredible! Currently on a 'I wanna try that' overload.
