After a lot of trial and error over the years, I am finally happy with and loving the Focus wall in my classroom this year. Each week I update this to show our Literacy focus for the week.
At the moment I am including:
-Our Words of the week from Mel's {From the Pond} Ultimate Sight Words Program
-Spaceman poster freebie from Brooke {Teachable Moments}
-Word Family poster (we are working on one each week)
-Write Your Name poster which is also a freebie from here
Our 'word' swatters are hanging up on the sides for easy access.
We also have our WALT {We Are Learning To} Wall in the foyer. My aim is to post about this soon! If you have another great idea for a focus wall please leave me the link below,
This looks awesome! I use the same pencil rhyme with my kids. How do you teach word families? Is it quick drills at the start of a lesson, or bigger tasks?

Hey Jem! We drill at the start of the day or play a game like going on a bus trip then do at least 2 activities during the week in rotations, normally about 15 minutes each. I use cvc activities from both Brooke & Mel's store's.
